A.S. “Doc” Wheelwright
Founder, Systemic Formulas, Inc.
A. S. "Doc” Wheelwright was dedicated to making the world a better place by mastering the roles of: innovator, nutritional pathfinder, master herbalist, and a genius who accepted his gift of knowledge as a responsibility and challenge to better the lives and health of those around him. He spent his entire life in search of wellness for mankind.
The son of a Utah contractor, Alexander Stuart Wheelwright was born in 1918. Early in life, he understood that he had been set apart to fill a very special place in this world. To help him better understand, he created his first laboratory in which he delved into his surroundings in order that he might better understand them and their workings. Early recognition of his innate genius came in 1935 when, at age of seventeen, he received the prestigious Edison Award for outstanding achievement in Applied Chemistry among high school students.
It was during this period of his exciting life that Doc had
what he called his "secret chemistry lab" in the basement
of his parent's home. As he described it, he built a false
wall in the basement (where he also had his bedroom)
behind which he built his special lab. To raise money to
buy the equipment he needed, Doc told how he would
dress up in his oldest clothes and go around Ogden
pulling a little wagon in which he had copies of "Liberty
Magazine" as well as some newspapers for sale. He was not just a little successful in this business; the 'ragamuffin kid' was so successful that the publishers of the magazine were prompted to send a man to Ogden to see "just what that kid is doing out there to sell so many of our magazines!" Through his own hard work, Doc was able to outfit his basement lab to such an extent that it was better than the chemistry labs at the University.

An advocate and pioneer in alternative
health systems, Doc Stu found himself
a world traveler necessitated by his
lifetime of seeking out knowledge from
little known sources. He traveled
extensively in the United States including
Hawaii where he was considered a Kahuna,
a member of the Ancient Royal Hawaiian
Priest Class, and was also an American Indian Medicine Man which resulted from his living with Native Americans in the Western U. S. In fact, wherever he traveled, Stu lived with and became an integral part of the cultures he visited; in this way he became an initiate into the innermost secrets of all that each society had to offer. From Africa to Tibet and China, from India to the many islands of Polynesia, Australia and New Zealand; from South America, Egypt, the Near and Far East; from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales; from Europe and the plains and steppes of the Soviet Union - all these were known by Stu, and each surrendered their many secrets and systems of health and wellness.
During his years of travel, Doc had many interesting experiences. For example, while in the Philippines, he studied with that culture's famous Healers and Psychic Surgeons. He was impressed enough by their techniques that he took a group of people from the United States to the Philippines for consultations and treatments by these wonder workers when he found it impossible to gain visas or entry permits for them to come to the United States to practice here. He spent time with the native hill people in Mexico where he studied their healing methods and sacred herbs - many of which he would later use in the formulation of his superior products. During a trip down the Amazon River, he spent days in the Amazon Basin delving into the ancient herbal traditions of that country's "Garden of Eden"; this resulted in his understanding of the great herbal traditions of both the Inca Empire and the Aztec (Toltec) civilization. In Egypt and the Holy Land, Doc visited archaeological sites which had not yet been opened to the general public. After his last trip to that part of the world, he spoke of having visited ruins which dated from the time of Christ where he learned more of the Vibrational Theory of Life.
In Africa, Doc lived with the local people trading ideas, knowledge and techniques. As he often said, "To get something, you have to give something!" His life was one of learning through trading knowledge anywhere there was something to learn which would help him to realize his vision of wellness for humanity!
His years of study, travel, and his scientific curiosity culminated in his herbal formulations which guided helped so many of his fellow human beings to wellness. These formulations are the heart and soul of the company he passed on to his oldest son, Stu, who is continuing to make these wondrous formulas through the expertise of Systemic Formulas, Inc. Having retired after many years of successfully producing his herbal nutriments, “Doc” Wheelwright passed the vision and knowledge on to his son, Stu. Before he passed on, he spent his final months creating, honing, developing, and perfecting his final legacy of formulas, theories, and nutritional concepts. As his son Stu has stated, "Dad gave us his final works and a schedule for the release of those works over the next five to twenty-five years. We have much to do to assume that his inspired discoveries will not be lost! We have accepted the challenge that he has given us to continue to produce and distribute his formulations, "The Ones That Work!"
